Fardles

Once in a blue moon, the stars align and baby finishes his feed without needing a diaper change. Straight from the breast and into the bassinet, and everyone is the happier for it!

Once every so often, I get bitten by the “build your own custom PC” bug. Maybe this time it’ll stick (though part of me — the sensible one — certainly hopes not)?

Started to use the Readwise.io free trial after seeing Roam integration at work. I’m hopeful that this might help me make the best use of my reading and highlighting.

The past few days have been a whirlwind! The Wife delivered our little baby boy O on 11 September 2020 at 5.57pm. One of his blood tests showed an elevated marker and he’s had to stay in hospital for the past few days, while we went to and from hospital for feeds. Thankful for competent medical staff, resources, and God’s grace through all this.

I spent the day migrating files from Dropbox to OneDrive. I had recently purchased the Microsoft 365 Family Plan which included 1TB of storage per person. It no longer made sense to have a separate storage option in Dropbox. It feels good to consolidate and cut away excess!

Installed the car seat, chopped up a chicken, and fixed up some wires. Not a bad start to the Saturday afternoon.

I spent a good amount of time watching the first few episodes of The Umbrella Academy on Neflix last night. While it was quite absorbing and I do (or perhaps, used to) love television, I couldn’t shake the feeling that there were better uses of my time, especially if I could get a similar amount of plot for much less time elsewhere. I ended up just reading through the synopsis for the whole two seasons instead. Is there something I’m missing about the joy of television?
